Cobb is DJC "Project of the Month"

Clair Enlow's article for "Project of the Month" on The Cobb appeared in today's Daily Journal of Commerce. An urban, sustainable, historic rehabilitation, the LEED Silver Cobb Building, owned by Unico Properties, is still garnering interest and accolades several years after opening as luxury apartments in the heart of Seattle's downtown core.

Climate Change: From Crisis to Opportunity

We are very pleased to have hosted a great panel discussion last night at Space at The Steps. The panel was moderated by the brilliant, Susan Szenasy, Editor-in-Chief of Metropolis Magazine, and professor of Design Ethics at Parsons School of Design. Panelists included Alex Steffen, Co-founder of Worldchanging and internationally acclaimed sustainability author, speaker, and visionary; Liz Dunn, Consulting Director of the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Preservation Green Lab, and Seattle-based developer and preservationist; and Dennis Wilde, Director of the Renewable Energy & Infrastructure division of Gerding Edlen Sustainable Solutions.

The professional diversity of the audience promoted a lively Q&A and enough smart and funny comments to stave off the hunger creeping up on all of those who bravely skipped happy hour to attend this event. Attendees were rewarded for their patience with light food and beverage and the opportunity to continue the discussion after the panel closed.

The Seattle Channel was in attendance to film the event – we will update you on details of when they plan to show it.

Thanks to all who attended for helping to push forward these important topics. Special thanks to our moderator, panelists and to the Seattle Channel.
