Seattle's first ever chicken coop design & build competition
was held this past weekend at the Rainier Beach Urban Farm. GGLO is a firm supporter of urban agriculture and clever design, so where else would we be on a Seattle
Saturday?
Raise the Roost inspired the design of 10 unique urban chicken
coops, giving several
lucky fowl a selection of posh new digs. A few
select coops will remain at the Rainier Beach Urban Farm while the remaining
will be disbursed throughout the community.

the event and participated in the design build among GGLO's own Matthew
Lin, Sarah Marshall, Jenny Kempson, Daniel
Ash, Mark Nichols and Ted
Panton. Meant to
inspire participation in community agriculture, Raise
the Roost raised almost $2000 for Seattle Youth Garden Works.
