Principal
Beth strives to create and support strong communities in her practice. Beth’s clients appreciate her strong organization, communication, and design skills, which over the past 25 years, have allowed her to play a variety of roles in projects that shape communities. Retail, commercial, historic renovation, educational and multi-family projects are a few of the sectors in which she has worked and she welcomes the variation in design knowledge that each project type entails.
During her tenure at GGLO Beth has worked on University Village, The Cobb, Burien Town Square, Abri Hotel, Garfield Commons, and is currently working on UW/Children’s Workforce Housing. She recently served as a panelist at ULI Seattle’s Reinventing Northwest Retail, ULI Skagit County’s Revitalizing Aging Commercial Strips, Futurewise’s: TOC workshop and NAIOP’s Creating Value Through Renovation.
Mark joined GGLO in 2001 as a landscape architect with a desire to contribute to the urban fabric in which everyday people live, work and play. Today, Mark has gained over 15 years of professional experience in a variety of project types including urban infill housing, hospitality, public parks and open spaces. Mark is a member of the Restorative Design Collective, responsible for the greenest building on track to be the first certified Living Building in Washington state.
Mark has worked on a variety of award winning Parks, Town Centers, and Mixed-Use Communities throughout the Northwest. His focus on creating highly sustainable places for people through an integrated design process contributes to GGLO’s mission of ‘Design for the Human Experience’. Mark has been invited to speak the 2012 WASLA Conference on “A Model of Integrated Design - Delivering Sustainable Places for People in the 21st Century” and has previously spoken at two Living Future Conferences and the 2010 WASLA Conference.
David is vital part of GGLO's Urban Design and Planning team. He focuses on complex design projects that range in scale from buildings to districts – working with public-private partnerships, innovative development codes, mixed funding sources such Choice Neighborhoods, and community stakeholders to create places that are highly sustainable and cherished. David is Vice Chair of the Seattle Planning Commission and Co-Chair of the Seattle Light Rail Review Panel. He also serves on the board of the Seattle 2030 District.
Alicia is an Architect and passionate advocate for green building, with over 15 years of experience in sustainable design. As Director of Sustainability, she spearheads internal research initiatives and is the firm’s driving force for bringing integrated sustainable design solutions to client-driven projects. Alicia is an active member of Cascadia Green Building Council's Seattle Branch Steering Committee and also a lifetime member of the American Solar Energy Society.
Ted designs and manages community-based urban mixed-use projects, with particular focus in resolving complex environmental and entitlement considerations. He is involved in numerous environmental and community advocacy groups, serves on Seattle’s Central Waterfront Stakeholders Group and is Chair of Seattle’s Northwest Design Review Board.
Hal has been involved on a wide range of project types and sizes for both private and public clients. He is fluent in construction technology and detailing through involvement on complex, highly detailed projects. Hal is an active member of the SPACE at Magnuson board to which he brings his interests in adaptive re-use, art integration, and preservation of building heritage.
Amy's experience with multi-family, mixed-use, and rehabilitation projects encompasses the full spectrum of design development, from initial project concept through construction administration. Her passion is working with clients to realize the value of their properties and she takes great pride in helping to improve a neighborhood's fabric through quality development.
Lindsey has a broad understanding of the design process, a collaborative approach to design, and a passion for her work. She has experience in a variety of multi-family housing projects from affordable to market-rate, hotels, spas, conference facilities and corporate tenant improvement projects. As a member of GGLO’s Sustainable Design Group, Lindsey is dedicated to creating high quality, healthy indoor environments.
Kevin is inspired by the opportunity to design quality affordable housing for those who need it most. He has worked with a variety of public and private clients to create vibrant, affordable and sustainable communities. Along with designing affordable, efficient and quality housing, Kevin's other professional passion is Building Information Modeling and how it is changing the practice of architecture.
Tracy has been with GGLO for 14 years, and her strengths direct the HR discipline; from benefits administration to compliance, policy development to recruiting, firm wide communication and professional development, all facets of the HR spectrum are covered.
Barry joined GGLO in 2007, bringing over 15 years of Information Systems experience in a variety of settings as well as a Master’s Degree in Information Science. Barry enjoys collaboration with architects and designers to create knowledge and information systems that directly impact the firm's productivity.
