David Cutler AIA, NCARB
Principal
David leads GGLO's Planning and Urban Design team. He focuses on complex and contested design projects that range in scale from buildings to districts - working with public-private partnerships, outcome-based development codes, mobility infrastructure, and community stakeholders to create places that are highly sustainable, holistically planned, and cherished. Sought after as a conference presenter and co-author, David also spearheads GGLO's Research Initiative, which explores and publishes on topics related to urban policy, environmental performance, and the relationship between people and place.
David's work at GGLO includes notable projects such as Seattle Housing Authority's Yesler Terrace Development Master Plan, Tacoma Housing Authority's Hillside Terrace Community Center, King County Housing Authority's Greenbridge, King County Youth Services Center Urban Design, Roosevelt Transit-Oriented Development, Capitol Hill EcoDistrict, and collaboration with the Seattle Office of Sustainability and Environment on the Seattle Climate Action Plan update, set to be released in 2013. David has spoken at Living Future, APA Cascadia, CNU and many local outreach alliances. Outside of GGLO, David is Chair of the Seattle Planning Commission and Co-Chair of the Seattle Light Rail Review Panel. He also serves on the board of the Seattle 2030 District.
Kimberly Frank IIDA, LEED® AP
Principal
Kimberly joined GGLO over 15 years ago as an interior designer with a passion for collaborative design. Continually cultivating and mentoring new designers, Kimberly strives to instill the approach that the interior environment should be created through a holistic lens that goes beyond the five-senses. She seamlessly integrates the client's mission and vision with her expert understanding of current and upcoming trends, targeted demographics, and sustainable design to create a unique user-experience distinctive to the project's story and brand. Kimberly has worked on a full spectrum of building types including affordable and market rate multifamily, hospitality, commercial and retail, senior living, and higher education projects. Though each project is unique, her goal is always 'design for the human experience'.
While at GGLO, Kimberly has transformed interior spaces at Leva on Market, The Lodge at Tiburon, Hotel Abri, the award-winning Broadway Crossing, newly completed Providence Joseph House, and is currently working on Ava University District, Garfield North, and Alley 111. She recently spoke at the 2012 WASLA Conference on "Collaboration: A Model of Integrated Design Delivering Sustainable Places for People in the 21st Century" and 2012 LeadingAge Washington Conference on "LEEDing Edge: Transformations for Senior Living"
Alicia Daniels Uhlig NCARB, LEED® AP
Principal, Director of Sustainability
Alicia is an Architect and passionate advocate for environmental advocacy, with over 15 years of experience in sustainable design. As Director of Sustainability, she spearheads internal research initiatives and brings integrated sustainable design solutions to client-driven projects. Alicia holds LEED AP credentials in BD+C, Homes, and Neighborhood Development, and volunteers as a LEED Subject Matter Expert. She is a lifetime member of the American Solar Energy Society, a Living Building Ambassador, and since 2006 has served on Cascadia Green Building Council's Seattle Branch Steering Committee.
During her tenure at GGLO Alicia has shaped sustainable communities through projects seeking advanced levels of sustainability including the Capitol Hill EcoDistrict, The Allison Inn & Spa, Asa Flats + Lofts, Broadway Crossing, and is currently working on Seattle's Climate Action Plan update. She has been invited to speak at conferences such as Living Future and a variety of forums to present work on Building Performance Evaluations, 2030 Challenge and the future of sustainable design.
Ted Panton AIA
Design Director, Senior Associate
Ted’s leadership through advocacy and facilitation of design further supports GGLO’s stated mission of designing places and spaces that elevate the quality and spirit of life. Since joining the firm over a decade ago, Ted has been a tireless advocate for design in GGLO’s work as well as in our community through his service as a as Chair of Seattle’s Northwest Design Review Board. As Design Director he will be responsible for leading the implementation of tangible metrics that, when applied, measurably result in advancing and improving the human experience.
Ted has an extensive background in the design and management of community-based urban mixed-use projects, with particular focus in resolving complex environmental and entitlement considerations. He is involved in numerous community advocacy groups, has served as a juror at the AIA NW Honor Awards and is on Seattle’s Central Waterfront Stakeholders Group.
Lauren Kuester LEED® AP
Director of Business Development
Since joining GGLO in 2008, Lauren has played a key role in all marketing and business development activities, from strategic visioning to brand stewardship. Whether advocating on key public policy issues or sharing insight on market strategies, Lauren prioritizes delivering value to GGLO's clients and community partners. In her role as Director of Business Development, Lauren will provide direction and leadership for the business development and marketing activities of GGLO and work closely with leadership groups to facilitate the execution of the strategic plan.
Lauren regularly liaises with and contributes time to many of GGLO's nonprofit community partners and, outside of GGLO, is currently serving in her second term on the Municipal League of King County Foundation Board.
Hal Eden AIA
Senior Associate
Hal enjoys all aspects of the construction process and has been involved on a wide range of project types and sizes for both private and public clients throughout his career. He is fluent in construction technology and detailing through involvement on complex, highly detailed projects. His interests include accessibility, adaptive re-use, preservation, and art integration.
As the firm's Director of Quality Review Hal leads the updating of project drawing standards, participates in construction document reviews at project milestones, and works in tandem with Information Services to maintain firm production standards. Past projects Hal has worked on while at GGLO include The Allison Inn & Spa and AVA Queen Anne. He is currently working on the AMLI Ballard Jacobsen and AMLI South Lake Union Bargreen projects, now under construction in Seattle.
Steve Nordlund AIA, CSI
Senior Associate
Steve has comprehensive experience in single and multi-family residential, hospitality/restaurants, retail, military, civic, and educational project types, and is well versed in translating design intent into workable construction documents. He is particularly adept at creating solid team relationships both within GGLO and with clients, consultants, and contractors. He considers one of his strengths to be finding ways to maintain a high level of design quality within the budget limitations of a project.
Steve is Project Architect for Via6, a 654-unit apartment building in downtown Seattle, scheduled to open in late February 2013. Some of his previous projects at GGLO include Asa Flats + Lofts, a transit-oriented development in Portland's Pearl District and George F. Russell Jr. Hall, in Seattle's University District.
Wendy Lamb AIA, LEED® AP
Senior Associate
Wendy has served as Project Architect and Project Manager on numerous multi-family, mixed-use, and senior living projects. A skilled professional, adept at leading project teams, coordinating consultants, and communicating with clients, Wendy also leads the firm's workload planning. Her work is always in consideration for the end user and she strongly believes in the importance of identifying the unique considerations for special populations. Wendy takes great pride in creating engaging environments and strives to embed sustainability in every project she works on. Client and team relationships are very important to Wendy and her welcoming personality invites collaboration while her honesty and dependability give clients confidence in her ability to lead an integrated team to success.
Wendy served as Project Manager for two award winning senior living projects: Atria Valley View in Walnut Creek, CA and Atria Tamalpais Creek in Novato, CA, both of which achieved LEED Silver certification. Wendy was recently invited to speak at LeadingAge Washington's Annual Conference on the topic of repositioning sustainable senior living projects.
Marieke Lacasse ASLA, LEED® AP

Marieke joined GGLO in 2001, bringing with her a devotion to creating social outdoor spaces that reflect the unique character and interests of their community. With over 15 years of experience designing parks, streetscapes, gardens and community places that work for people, Marieke is a valuable resource for the Landscape Architecture team, which she co-leads. Marieke is accustomed to working in large multi-disciplinary teams and with heavily involved community participants. The resulting spaces garner awards for their playfulness, highly sustainable features and promotion of community stewardship. She focuses her practice on understanding the end user, pushing for design excellence, innovation and impeccable project delivery.
Marieke is currently working on the Yesler Terrace Development Master Plan, LIHI Ballard, and Tacoma Housing Authority Multifamily and Community Center projects. She has designed award-winning parks and open spaces in Washington and California. Marieke is actively involved in grassroots efforts in her community and is the volunteer coordinator at her children's school, helping more than 300 families to engage in community service.
Bria Greer LEED® AP

As a Northwest native, Bria cherishes the outdoors and sees strength in places and spaces that connect the built environment with the natural one. Placing great value on work-life harmony, Bria balances her design work with organic gardening, and raising a family, which influences her designs and use of space. She is passionate about creating environments that support collaborative community engagement by focusing on the user and their activities in academic, corporate, and recreational settings. Her playful approach ensures that the interior space will be both functional and engaging to the user, pulling them into the activities and fostering a creative learning space.
Bria is greatly enjoying working on AMLI South Lake Union Bargreen, a multifamily project in South Lake Union, and Alley 111, a mixed-use project in Bellevue.
Brandon J. Kelly AIA, NCARB, LEED® AP
Associate
Prior to joining GGLO in 2011 Brandon worked with numerous other notable west coast firms, in addition to owning his own practice. Brandon prides himself on the details; even the grandest of architectural "moves" can be lost if the details - how the structure meets the ground, touches the sky, the interactions of materials, the attention to joinery, the seamless integration of open space - fall short in execution. Brandon has designed for a wide range of markets, including higher education, student housing, luxury condominiums, single family residential, commercial, retail, office, and healthcare.
Brandon's notable projects at GGLO include a high-rise, mixed-use project in Bellevue: Alley 111; a mixed-use project for Pacific Lutheran University: Garfield North; a mixed-use renovation project in Belltown: 2900 on First; and a seven-building apartment renovation project in Corte Madera, CA: the Preserve at Marin.
Kelley LeBlanc AIA

Kelley believes in creating a unique sense of place at the human scale. Her recognition of the impact on our lives created by the built environment drives her passion for architecture. She has over 12 years of experience in a variety of project types including multifamily, hospitality, affordable housing and senior housing. She is dedicated to ensuring a project's success by evaluating it from a creative, technical and analytical perspective during all phases of design. Kelley is currently working on Tacoma Housing Authority's Hillside Terrace and DevCo’s Discovery Heights.

Wonsik plays a key role in the planning and design phases for many multifamily residential, mixed-use, and large-scale urban developments. Wonsik's careful attention to the physical nature of the design process results in highly functional and efficient solutions, while a keen awareness to the nature of materials and appreciation of the craft involved in assembling them ensures design quality and enriches the experience of the space. Wonsik has been a vital team member on the Via6 high-rise apartment project located in Seattle's Denny Triangle, opening in February 2013.

Jennifer is passionate about working collaboratively with a team to design cohesive spaces that enhance our quality of life. Since joining GGLO in 2004, she has developed into a well-rounded designer, working in multiple markets and in all aspects of the design process. Jennifer's broad range of project experience extends to retail, hospitality, senior housing, multifamily and mixed-use project types. She is currently working on the Tacoma Housing Authority's Hillside Terrace Housing and Community Center project.
Winnie So AIA, NCARB, LEED® AP
Associate
Winnie has honed her experience on numerous multifamily residential, senior living projects and mixed-use developments since joining GGLO more than 12 years ago. Her most notable work has been the planning and integrated design of large-scale, mixed-use communities: Rainier Vista, Greenbridge and Seola Gardens HOPE VI Public Housing Redevelopments in the Seattle area. Winnie is currently working on AMLI Ballard Jacobsen and AMLI Wallingford.
