If you happened to be anywhere near Westlake Center last Friday night you were probably swept up into the holiday frenzy that is The Annual Great Figgy Pudding Street Corner Caroling Competition. Put on by the Pike Market Senior Center Food Bank, this Seattle tradition puts different caroling crews together around Westlake Center, where they compete to raise funds for low-income seniors and to feed those in need.
GGLO made their presence known this year by raising the second highest amount in the Teams category with $5,126.53! Earning second place allowed the GGLO Jinglers to sing live on stage in front of the throngs of attendees. The GGLO Jinglers were then called back a second time to sing after being recognized for 16 years of attendance. Nice job guys!
The Pike Market Senior Center Food Bank is still accepting donations, and further help is coming in the way of a donation by P.F. Chang's who on Monday, January 7th will donate20% of all sales on that day to Pike Market. Tell your friends and family, we want to make sure all the chairs are filled on that day!
