GGLO has been named the top green architecture firm in Washington state by Seattle Business Magazine [note: we define ourselves as an architecture, landscape architecture, interior design and urban design and planning firm, but we happily accept the award!]. The magazine's Washington Green 50 List focused on organizations that embrace the highest standards of environmentally conscientious business practices.

GGLO was commended for having designed and participated, "in 20 projects totaling more than 1.6 million square feet of LEED certified space throughout the Pacific Northwest."

Seattle Business Magazine described GGLO as, "set to remain at the front of Seattle's sustainable movement well into the future."

For more information on GGLO's insight into sustainability initiatives, check out our site here.

There were a number of GGLO partners and clients that were also recognized at the Green 50 event. Congratulations to Walsh Construction, Seattle University, the University of Washington, Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County, Andersen Construction and Columbia Hospitality!

We would like to congratulate all those acknowledged this year for their fantastic contribution to sustainable business in Washington.

The Allison Inn & Spa Draws Top Rankings in Condé Nast and Travel + Leisure

"At Oregon’s Allison Inn & Spa, you can wake up to a view of Willamette Valley from your terrace, spend the afternoon sampling Pinot Noirs at local wineries, then retreat to the hotel spa for a “pinotherapy” treatment." - Travel + Leisure
The Allison Inn & Spa was again chosen as a top destination by Travel + Leisure's readership in the annual World's Best Awards survey. The Allison was the No. 4 hotel overall and the only hotel in the United States to be in the top five of the World's Best Wine Country Hotels, according to readers.

In Condé Nast’Readers' Choice Awards the Allison was named the #1 hotel in the Pacific Northwest. The Allison scored highly in all hotel criteria but topped the charts in the 'Design' category with a score of 97/100.

The Allison Inn & Spa's design is inspired by the lush Willamette Valley that surrounds it. Five acres of planted vineyards are the backdrop for several of the Allison's outdoor spaces. Travel + Leisure describes the Allison as, "...blend[ing] into its setting, with subtle earth tones that match the nearby vineyards, gardens and lawns."

Not to be missed is JORY, the Allison's signature restaurant. Taking its cue from the sustainable elements infused throughout the Allison's design, JORY's extensive wine list is coded by bio-dynamic, organic and sustainable wines.

To our friends at The Allison, keep on knocking it out of the park!
