The 61st Annual Aging Services of Washington Conference, which promotes the improvement of housing, health, community, and other related services for Washington state seniors was held in Spokane. Among the many presenters was a dedicated group representing GGLO.
Jerry McDevitt, Marieke Lacasse, Kimberly Frank, and Wendy Lamb gave a presentation on the viability and benefits of building LEED-certified senior housing. LEEDing Edge: Transformations for Senior Living focuses on two GGLO designed senior housing, Tamalpais Creek and Valley View. Both of these assisted living renovated communities are LEED® Silver certified.
