Welcome to the latest GGLO news.

Even if you were not there to see it, you may have still heard the chorus of carolers coming from Westlake Center Friday, marking the start of the 27th Annual Great Figgy Pudding Street Corner Caroling Competition. An event put on by and benefiting the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank, Figgy Pudding is a yearly Seattle staple that attracts 10,000 people to help low-income seniors and families during the holiday season.

We are so excited to hear that this year's donation goal has been met and continues to grow! The Pike Market Senior Center announced that Figgy Pudding 2013 has raised over $103,000. Donations are still being accepted and can be made in the following ways:

1) Donate at pikemarketseniorcenter.org - category = Figgy Pudding

2) Donate via your favorite caroling team's keyword using Mobile Cause pledging.

3) Use your favorite team's ActiveGiving URL and donate on their page. GGLO Jinglers can be found here.


A bit of news regarding the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank Meals and Nutrition program: This inspiring group has served more nutritious meals as of November 15th than they did in all of 2012. 48,832 meals served so far this year, and more to come!

The GGLO Jinglers, our elite force of carolers,  put on a fantastic show during the competition. Via on-the-spot donations, as well as delicious baked-good fundraising, GGLO raised $5,464 for the Pike Market Senior Center. This netted GGLO the 3rd place Figlanthropy Award! Way to go everyone, and thank you to everyone who participated, donated and sang their hearts out during this year's Figgy Pudding!
